Our Sweet Terms & Conditions

Everything you need to know before placing your cake order with Goodberry

Please read these terms carefully before placing your order

Ordering & Payments

  • Secure your date: All cake orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to book your special date.
  • Payment methods: We accept cash, all major credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.
  • Custom creations: Unique designs require a consultation and final approval before we begin baking.
  • Price changes: Significant design alterations after approval may affect the final price.

Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery areas: We deliver within a 20-mile radius with charges based on distance.
  • Timing: Delivery windows are 30 minutes - someone must be available to receive the cake.
  • Collection: Available during shop hours - please bring your receipt.
  • Inspection: Cakes must be inspected upon receipt - report any issues immediately.
  • After delivery: We cannot be responsible for cakes once they leave our care.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • 14+ days notice: 50% of deposit refundable for cancellations.
  • 7-14 days notice: Deposit is non-refundable.
  • Under 7 days: Full payment is forfeited.
  • Our discretion: In exceptional circumstances, we may offer credit for future orders.

Allergens & Special Diets

  • Allergy notice: Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, soy and other allergens.
  • Special requests: Vegan, gluten-free etc. must be specified when ordering.
  • Cross-contamination: While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee allergen-free environments.
  • Taste tests: Available for special diet cakes by appointment.

Cake Care Guide

  • Storage: Refrigerate until 1-2 hours before serving (except fondant cakes).
  • Temperature: Keep in cool environment away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Transport: Carry cakes flat in footwell of air-conditioned vehicles.
  • Freshness: Consume within 3 days for best quality.

Design & Intellectual Property

  • Original designs: All cake designs remain our intellectual property.
  • Photography: We may photograph cakes for our portfolio and marketing.
  • Inspiration photos: Please ensure you have rights to any images you provide.
  • Copying designs: We don't replicate other baker's work but will create inspired versions.

Sweet Note: For wedding cakes and large orders (50+ servings), we provide a detailed contract with specific terms.
